Privacy Policy

Baza is operated by VANO STUDIOS LTD (“we”). This policy explains what we collect when a business uses Baza and when a customer talks to a business’s assistant.
Information from businesses
Account details (name, email, password hash), business details, and the knowledge you add: facts, website content, uploaded documents and catalogues. Uploaded files are stored privately and are never accessible by URL.
Information from customers of a business
Messages sent to an assistant through a business's chat page, website widget, WhatsApp, Instagram or email, including any photos and PDFs a customer attaches (stored privately and shown only through short-lived links, to that customer and the business) and the caption of an Instagram post or reel a customer shares, the customer's phone number on WhatsApp, name and username on Instagram or email address on email, an anonymous visitor identifier on the web, the approximate location (country and city) our hosting provider derives from the connection when a conversation starts, the browser, operating system, kind of device and preferred language a web chat comes from (read from what the browser sends, not the full browser details), and any contact details a customer chooses to share so the business can follow up. We do not store IP addresses.
How we use it
To generate answers using an AI model, to show businesses their conversations and leads, to count usage and bill it, and to keep the service secure. Message content, photos a customer sends, the captions of posts they share, and knowledge are sent to our AI model providers to produce replies and to make your knowledge searchable; they are not used to train models under our agreement.
Sharing
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service: our hosting, database and file storage providers, AI model providers (AI responses and knowledge search), an email delivery provider, a payment provider and, on our public website only and with your permission, an analytics provider. Each is bound to protect the data and use it only to provide its service to us. You can ask us for the list of these providers at hello@baza.chat. Each business sees only its own data.
Cookies and analytics on our website
Our public pages (Baza's home, pricing, FAQ and these policies) use essential storage to work and to remember your cookie choice. With your permission, they also use analytics to see how visitors find and use the site: analytics cookies are set, and the address and browser details of your visit are shared with our analytics provider. Analytics stays off until you allow it, and you can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. It is never used in the dashboard, in sign-in, or on a business's chat page or website widget.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while an account is active. Businesses can delete knowledge sources, conversations and leads at any time from the dashboard; the photos and files in a deleted conversation are deleted with it. To delete an account entirely, email hello@baza.chat.
